In ancient my country, pillows were categorized by material: bamboo, tile, wood, and cloth. They also varied in shape, including square, round, and flat pillows. Ancient pillows tended to be high, firm, and short, while modern pillows are quite different, reflecting advancements in sleep culture and engineering technology, as well as changes in lifestyle.

A sleeping pillow is a bedding item used to support the head and neck during sleep. Ancient Chinese sleeping pillows were categorized by material (bamboo, tile, wood, cloth) and shape (square, round, flat), generally being high, firm, and short. Modern sleeping pillows integrate traditional sleep culture elements with international standards, featuring significant innovations in materials and functions.

Modern sleeping pillows mainly include five categories: kapok pillows, down pillows, hollow fiber pillows, latex pillows, and orthopedic pillows. Kapok pillows use kapok as the core, combining softness with a price advantage; down pillows are filled with goose and duck breast feathers, which are breathable and moisture-regulating but can easily cause allergies; hollow fiber pillows use 4- or 7-hole synthetic fibers, which have high air storage capacity and strong resilience; latex pillows are molded from natural latex, which are breathable, hypoallergenic, and can be shaped; orthopedic pillows are specially designed for the cervical spine, supporting the entire cervical spine through their curved shape and relieving neck muscle tension.
