Composite fabrics are washable. When cleaning composite fabric garments, it's crucial to control the water temperature and pressure. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, as this may cause the fabric to peel or separate. Dry cleaning is also a good option, as it effectively cleans both surface and lining dirt and stains, and is much more efficient than hand washing.
Tetrachloroethylene is a relatively ideal material and is a commonly used dry cleaning agent in the laundry industry. However, tetrachloroethylene is somewhat toxic and must be used with caution. When hand washing, avoid using a brush and control the pressure carefully, as excessive shedding of the composite fabric will diminish its insulating properties. Another practical method is salt water soaking. Soak fleece-lined garments in water with a suitable amount of salt for about 30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with clean water.
