Applications Of Air-Layer Composite Fabrics

Air-layer fabrics are widely used in fashion, sports, and outdoor gear.

In autumn and winter, the warmth-retaining properties of air-layer fabrics make them an ideal choice for thermal underwear, sweatshirts, business casual trousers, and outdoor sportswear. Through structural design, they utilize a three-layer fabric structure (inner, middle, and outer layers) to create air gaps within the fabric. The middle layer uses a highly fluffy and elastic filling yarn to form a stationary air layer, providing warmth. Simultaneously, the fabric structure is lightweight and airy, allowing for effortless movement.

Thanks to its structural design and material selection, air-layer fabrics are also used in summer, suitable for summer sportswear and casual wear. By using natural fibers as materials, employing lightweight designs such as a single-layer air layer (thickness ≤1.5mm), or introducing sandwich mesh and breathable structures, the fabric's breathability and heat dissipation performance can be improved, achieving rapid sweat wicking and keeping the wearer dry.

Specific product types include wool blend air-layer jackets with far-infrared and antibacterial functions (such as G272# blue wool air-layer jackets), highly breathable lightweight outdoor jackets, and garments with a unique honeycomb air-layer structure.

When purchasing, consider the season and occasion: prioritize warmth in autumn and winter, and breathability in summer. Choose products labeled with "high natural fiber content," "lightweight," "mesh structure," or "breathable pores." For care, hang to store, avoid folding to prevent compressing the air-layer structure, and hand wash gently.
